Tax by country
Your country’s taxes, at the depth we can honestly promise.
Yako works anywhere. Every tax is configurable per company: rate, frequency, jurisdiction, withholding. Two countries are built in, with rules, return layouts and deadlines maintained by Yako from government sources. We say which is which.
| Tier | What it means | Countries |
|---|---|---|
| Built in | Tax rules, return layouts and deadlines maintained by Yako, each figure sourced to the government page and dated. Payroll taxes worked out month by month. | United Arab Emirates, Nigeria |
| Guided | Configurable taxes plus a Yako-written setup guide and sensible defaults for the country. Published as each guide is checked. | None yet. Next: Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, United Kingdom |
| Configurable | Any rate, frequency, jurisdiction and withholding. You set it up; Yako tracks obligations, filings and payments and keeps the proof with each period. | Everywhere else, today |

Set up each tax your business is registered for: its rate, how often you file and which authority it belongs to. Record each filing and payment, upload the receipt, and Yako compares what the books say you owe with what you declared and paid, for every period. Payroll deductions outside the built-in countries are entered by hand and posted to the accounts you choose.
No invented due dates and no borrowed rules from another country. If your country isn’t listed above, this is what you get, and it works today.
Why tiers
Honest about depth, by design.
Tax law is specific and it changes. We’d rather tell a visitor in Nairobi “configurable, and here is how” than let a product page imply a payroll engine that doesn’t exist. Each built-in country gets dated, sourced facts; each guided country gets a written setup guide first and an engine only when it has been checked by an adviser in that country.
